My "old friend" better not be using one of these anonymous email services.
If he does, he gets procmailed to /dev/null.

I repeat: I have never gotten anything but spam from hotmail, juno, and
rocketmail.

Are you sure? I don't know about rocketmail, but all the spam "from"
hotmail and juno I've seen recently has forged From: headers. Usually
it seems to have been injected via uu.net.

I've seen a message from the juno postmaster somewhere recently to the
effect that they do not allow their users to relay through other
SMTP servers.

Perhaps your .procmailrc just needs to be more sophisticated (can't
say for sure; you didn't post it) and check the routing.

===================================================================
I am a decent person. I do not spam the Internet with trashy messages
about golf balls, credit reports, credit cards or pornographic websites.

I rarely filter on the Subject: or From: header lines. I usually filter on
the Received: header lines. Most spammers do not know how to forge them.
The professionals do know how to forge.
