Thanks, I'm now using procmail 3.11pre7 with MAILSPOOLHOME="/.mail" and all is
groovy!
Thus Spake Philip Guenther <guenther(_at_)gac(_dot_)edu>:
Get procmail 3.11pre7 and uncomment and and correct for your local
setup the MAILSPOOLHOME define in src/authenticate.c. Compile and
install.
Can you give some example values to set this to? It is "/.mail" in the
source
file, does that mean that the absolute path of the locks will be
"/.mail/something"? Or is it relative to the home directory? Since each
home
user has a different mail spool for qmail, I would hope for the latter, but I
can't decode the source yet.
It's relative to the user's home directory. Thus the name "MAILSPOOLHOME".
I am going to set it to "/tmp" to test what happens.
Is that insecure?
No. You'll just want to change it to something better.
