I've just installed the latest version of procmail on a server running
Digital UNIX 4.0b and Innosoft's PMDF 5.1, and I'm having a big problem.
Piping mail into procmail with a .forward file (or PMDF's user
profiles) with no .procmailrc seems to corrupt the headers of incoming
mail. Normally, the first lines in the header would be something like

After piping through procmail, I get

Weird. What is the exact invocation of procmail that you are using
(i.e., what arguments are you giving it)? If instead of having your
.forward file (or "PMDF profile") invoke procmail you have it invoke
cat >$HOME/test
or something like that, does the resulting "test" file have the full
headers, or are they chopped like with procmail?
Finally, with which version of procmail are you trying this?
