then that is correct and valid, and the mail system is broken.  You
should figure out exactly which of the 'hops' is rejecting the address,
as that's the source of the problem.

Look closely at the bounce message that you're getting and see what
machine is sending it.  It should say in the body of the message.  If
it doesn't, examine the headers and look at the _last_ Received:
header.  Complain to your sysadmins about that machine.
