Hi, I have Sendmail installed on my RH 6.1 server. I have been trying to get
procmail running now for three days. I have modified the sendmail.cf , the
file
permissions are correct. The problem is when an email is sent to an account
the
.procmailrc does nothing, not even a mention in the log file.
On a redhat 6.1 machine procmail should be running by default if
installed. If you mean there is no mention in ~/.procmail.log then it
me may be incorrectly called in .procmailrc. You may need to post
~/.procmailrc as well as `ls -l .procmailrc'.
If you haven't already try, tailing /var/log/maillog while mail is
being fetched, you may find some clues there.
From a root xterm or shell `tail -f /var/log/maillog' while mail is
coming in.
