I receive email through a hosting company with all users' mail in a single
POP feed. I use procmail to sort through this and distribute it.
After upgrading to RedHat 6.2 the delivery of mail using the !username
technique stopped working. Being the mistrusting person I am, I got the
source for procmail and rebuilt it. No effect. Panic set in.
I changed all of the delivery lines from !username to
| $SENDMAIL -v -oi username
and everything started working again. Why?
