Stan improved on my advice to Jack,
| No elmrc folder list is required; with newer versions of elm, use -M
| (for "magic mode").
Thank you for pointing that out. I hadn't realized that the suggestion had
become a reality.
| Just alias elm to "elm -M" and forget about it.
Well, alias something else to "elm -M"; it's usually not a good idea to use
an executable's own name as the alias for calling it with certain options.
Then again, using "elm" as one's alias for "elm -M" is several orders of
magnitude less risky than using "rm" as one's alias for "rm -i".
| I'm not sure what version -M started in; I see it in version "2.5 PL2"
| but not in version "2.4ME+ PL40 (25)" (no, don't ask me how they
| number their versions :-)
The ME+ line of descent separated from the main Elm lineage some years ago.
Michael Elkins's modifications were, last I heard, taken over by Kari Hurtta,
but Hurtta still designates them with Elkins's initials.
