Great, now they can read them using their shell-based mail app such as
pine, elm, etc., from their own directory (i.e. not in the mail
spool). Why precisely were you doing this? Because your mail spool volume
isn't large enough?
But the problem is that, if I telnet on port 110(i.e.POP port) , I couldn't
read the mail as it check the mails only in /var/spool/mail directory. How
can I override the said problem.
Your POP3 client access isn't an issue of procmail. Why do you move the
messages from the spool into the user directory if you're planning on
fetching them using POP3?
Filter them (such as discarding spam, and forwarding others, then filtering
(adding/changing headers), then deposit them in $DEFAULT -- i.e. leave them
in the mailspool, where they can be picked up by POP3 clients.
