man sendmail is a useful command :)
The config. directive is "MAX_MESSAGE_SIZE" there is no such thing as
"MAX_ATTACHMENT_SIZE" as if you look on your UNIX mail server at your
mailbox file before you POP it, you will see it is just full of *text* with
no "attachements" - your email program "detaches" these
