Hello All:
Am both Linux newbie and procmail newbie...
Sendmail delivers mail if .forward is not installed.
With .forward as follows:
|"exec /usr/local/bin/procmail #tim"
or
"|exec /usr/local/bin/procmail #tim"
The following error message is received in
/var/spool/mail/root:
===================================
exec not available for sendmail programs
===================================
I am using Sendmail 8.9.3
fetchmail 5.8.0+NLS
on Red Hat 6.0
This is a single-user machine.
Sendmail, fetchmail and procmail were all compiled on
this machine as root.
Procmail 3.15.1 was originally compiled with the GROUP_PER_USER
switch disabled with errors resulting on procmail.
It was then recompiled with the switch enabled. Errors as above
continue.
I'm both a procmail and linux newbie so I'm not sure of all diagnostics
that I am seeing, but here is a portion of the -v dump from procmail:
Locking strategies: dotlocking, fcntl(), lockf(), flock()
Default rcfile: $HOME/.procmailrc
It may be writable by your primary group
Your system mailbox: /var/spool/mail/tim
BTW: Nice work with the makefile, it gives more info that most makes
I've seen :>).
I hope someone can help with this. Anxious to make this all work....
TIA
Tim Johnson
