Dear people,
I just setup procmail, and seem to be having a weird problem; when I send
mail to srdl, a user I set up for use with procmail, the message seems to
get handled properly; this is the sendmail log entry:
May 6 16:24:05 asarian-host sendmail[66645]: f46EO4l66643: to="| IFS=' ' &&
p=/usr/bin/procmail && test -f $p && exec $p -Yf- || exit 75 #srdl",
ctladdr=srdlm-submit(_at_)divine-love(_dot_)org (1/0), delay=00:00:01,
xdelay=00:00:01,
mailer=prog, pri=31075, dsn=2.0
Seems ok, right? Only problem is, the mail gets delivered to root, and seems
to ignore all my recipies!
I put my recipies in: /usr/home/srdl/.procmailrc
Should it have any special access rights that I am unaware of? It is now set
chmod 644.
Here are some important variables I set in .procmailrc:
PATH=/sbin:/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/root/bin:
/usr/bin/stump/bin:/usr/bin/stump/etc
MAILDIR=/var/spool/stump
VERBOSE=yes
DEFAULT=$MAILDIR/mbox
ORGMAIL=/var/mail/srdl
LOGFILE=$MAILDIR/log
LOCKFILE=/.lockmail
LOGABSTRACT=all
SENDMAIL=/usr/sbin/sendmail
But, like I said, mail simply gets delivered to root, and nothing is being
logged either. And I have no 'fall-through' value for root set either. Any
suggestions?
Much obliged,
- Mark
