no i am not.. infact.. yer ls -l i think showed that it isn't

What's an application look like to you? Things in Unix don't bother
with .exe or .bat or .com; you call the command what you want to call
it.
Add /usr/local/bin to your PATH (or is it path; you're csh, right?).
Edit .cshrc and/or .login (I think).
