After digging and testing further on your recommendations, it now looks
like the problem is a Sendmail issue. The root account is aliased to root
and several wcc.net accounts since we maintain the system. The headers I
submitted were from the copy of the message that got delivered to my box,
not the root account. For some reason, Sendmail is refusing to actually
deliver a copy of the message to the local root mailbox, so the message is
never actually going through that recipe. And since the message is being
passed to a completely different system, obviously the recipe isn't going
to work there. Anyone know the proper sacrifice to make Sendmail
recognize a local alias? Thanks for all the ideas. I'll be back if
procmail enters the equation again.
cheers,
