At 16:44 2001-06-21 -0500, Kip Turk did say:
not the root account. For some reason, Sendmail is refusing to actually
deliver a copy of the message to the local root mailbox, so the message is
never actually going through that recipe.
Uhm, where did the procmail log come from, if not the account that the
procmailrc was supposed to be running as?
And since the message is being
passed to a completely different system, obviously the recipe isn't going
to work there. Anyone know the proper sacrifice to make Sendmail
recognize a local alias?
Uhm, I'm not aware of any particular problems there. Has sendmail been
restarted after the configuration file changes? Are the databases rebuilt
(most installations use a db format of one form or another, not just plain
text files, so you have to run them through makemap or similar, or in the
case of aliases, 'sendmail -v -bi').
Thanks for all the ideas. I'll be back if
procmail enters the equation again.
Please be sure that if you include a logfile excerpt, that it comes from
the account in question.
