Procmail Help

2001-07-16 02:24:12
Dear Friends
     my doubt is i'm having some users and groups
already configured with sendmail.can i use the same
for qmail?if so how to do it.
also by default mail comes to /var/spool/userdir.
in my case using qmail how to set that default
dir.the mail is not going to /var/spool/homedir.
i want the arrival of new mail message to be shown as
 we see in normal case.
CAn i get a procmail script that parse the mails in
commonid(_at_)mydomain(_dot_)com and forwaded the mails to the
corresponding id along with the message body.
to make it clear
i'm having a mail id named commonid(_at_)ram(_dot_)com
ok
we've created ids for limited users in our web
mailserver.(with same name as n our local server at
webmail server)i'm having that common id in that web
mailserver.mails to non-existing ids in that server
has to return to that common id .
i've to parse that common id and get the mails
distributed to that locally residing ids in my local
server .
ex:
ids correspondigly matched as follows:

web-mailserver        local mailserver
--------------         ---------------

ram(_at_)mycompany(_dot_)com  -> ram(_at_)mycompany(_dot_)com
otheruser(_at_)mycompany(_dot_)com -> otheruser(_at_)mycompany(_dot_)com
commonid(_at_)mycompany(_dot_)com -> user2(_at_)mycompany(_dot_)com
                       -> user3(_at_)mycompany(_dot_)com etc..

so mails to non existeing users should come to common
id(in web's mailserver).
now i need a procmail script that has to separate that
id and message and send that message to locally
existing user.
the ultimate purpose is to convert intranet id into
internet id.
is that clear to u all
Ramkumar
