i am on AIX.. i can't get past square one {:}.. u got a buncho
stuff in that .forward! i USED to get a log file.. but then
it bounced my mail.. now i can get mail but no log file.

well...after tearing some of my hair out, i found out that indeed, i hadnt
created .forward file!! That's why procmail wasnt getting invoked...i put
this line inside my .forward file:
"|IFS=' ' && p=/usr/local/bin/procmail && test -f $p && exec $p -Yf- ||
exit 75 #YOUR_LOGIN_NAME"
then i placed it in my home directory...i've forgotten that i wasnt in
linux environment anymore, in which case you dont need a .forward
file...right now i'm using sunOS 5.7...

Two likely possibilities: either your .procmailrc doesn't tell procmail
to
log anything, or procmail isn't even getting invoked. The latter would
also
explain why your recipes are ignored and everything is falling into your
spool file.
