The problem I have is MS Outlook 2000 (SR1) is reporting an error (but mail

MsgSeqNum 1490, New UID 996997017. Prev UID: 996997028, Next UID: 0.
The complaint is because the new UID is less than the previous one, and
the standard requires them to be ever-increasing.
What you haven't told us, which is a critical bit of info, is what IMAP
server you are using. It's obvious not the standard RedHat one, because
RedHat uses sendmail and uw-imap, and uw-imap does not use maildirs and
hence can't be used with qmail.
My suspicion is that the problem arises because procmail is not writing
exactly the maildir format that the IMAP server expects to find.
