how do i turn it off? it's 8megs now... which i would say is too
big. can i just delete it? can i turn logging off or make it be

cron seems to be most sane way to do it as pointed by others.
that's not what i do though. in a script, mailstat is run, after
successful run of fetchmail, which does two things: moves the
$LOGFILE to ${LOGFILE}.old, shows me the statistics as intended.
btw, i run that script more than once a day.
