The problem of the extra Received: header can be relieved, can it not, by
having the procmailrc for outgoing mail call formail (more inefficiency,
whee!) to remove the one added by the first pass through sendmail.

Perhaps it should be noted that some MUAs have a user-settable choice for
the MTA, and a user can direct outgoing mail to procmail with the -m option
and an rcfile for outgoing mail specified on its command line, or to such an
rcfile as a hash-bang script that invokes itself with procmail -m; the
rcfile ends by calling the real MTA:
