I read the question as wanting to send an autoreply only to messages that
arrive after 16:00 or before 09:00, probably to say that the office is closed
and someone will handle the message on the next business day.

Yes that is right! and I dont have access to crontab.

My .procmailrc file works fine, but I dont want to remove it manually every day
when I stop working at 4, and putting it back the day after when I start working
at 9....

Udi saw it
differently:

... sending autoreplies to all messages but holding any that are generated
during the business day to be sent after 4 PM, when the system load is
lighter.

Well, Udi, that reading is possible, but I think it's a lot less likely.
We'll wait to hear from Reidar. Either way, it's still a question of making
procmail do one thing when the office is closed (sending the autoreply out
right then and there) and another during the business day (if Udi is right,
spooling the autoreply for a 4 PM cron job to mail out; if I'm right, not
sending an autoreply at all).
