Spammers aren't stupid [*], they Just Don't Care. They're counting on
responses from only a tiny fraction of the recipients anyway, so the few
who are using reasonable filters don't matter much.
Writers of spam software, on the other hand, appear to go to quite some
lengths to stay one step ahead of filtering software.

them are entirely clueless and are spamming only because they were told it

Odd, there's no reply-to on *your* posting. I think Alan must have added
that, rather than the list.
