Re: Redirecting to a new email address

Tim,

I think forwarding is one of the easiest things to accomplish. I
always forward mail by putting my other address in .forward.

But I think you could do it in .procmailrc by putting this recipe in
it:

:0
! new(_at_)email(_dot_)address(_dot_)com

Haven't tried it yet, but I'm pretty sure this works. Be sure to make
this the only recipe or the first one.

Have a good journey!

Hans

Hello:
    I'm using procmail v3.21 2001/06/29
    on Linux RH 7.2

I have a default.rc that directs procmail to send
any "unfiltered" mail to a folder called inbox.
    The recipe is as follows:
    #########################################

    :0:$MAILDIR/.lockmail

    $DEFAULT_MAILBOX # inbox
    #########################################

I must travel for about 10 days, I would like
the above .rc modified so that any mail "falling
through" will be resent to a different email address
    rather than to $DEFAULT_MAILBOX.
    1)Can this be done?
      if so
2)An explanation how would be appreciated, or
      being pointed to appropriated documentation
      would suffice.

On a personal note: My orders to travel were
unexpected and time is short, even though I could
research this, quick pointers would be greatly
   appreciated.
   TIA!
