hi,
i've been trying to get procmail to pipe mail through dmail so that i
have have user mailboxes in the mbx format. i have asked the imap folks
if they can help and they say it's not a dmail issue but a procmail
issue.
the problem is that dmail refuses to be invoked as user root or daemon.
it must be running as the recipient of the message. with the config
outlined below dmail reports in /var/log/maillog "dmail may not be
invoked by root or daemon", but i can not work out how to invoke it as
the recipient of the email.
here's the configuration on a RedHat 7.3 box with all RedHat updates
applied.
/etc/mail/sendmail.mc
FEATURE(local_procmail,`',`procmail -t -Y -a $h -d $u')dnl
/etc/procmailrc

| /usr/sbin/dmail +jon
