I must be really dense.
I checke man procmailrc and man procmailex and there is nothing
that mentions "FROM_" and yet I see it used frequently.
Exactly what does this do? Can someone provide an example?
In the Email jargon this is the line that start with "From ".
The folder is one long (or short) file which contains messages.
What separator between the messages is: NEWLINE character then
the word "From" with capital "F" and SPACE character.
For examples look in yours mbox by less(1). You will see that
messages start with:
From elenal(_at_)ths000(_dot_)tau(_dot_)ac(_dot_)il Mon Jun 10 15:36:38 2002
some ...
other ...
header ...
fields ...
maybe ...
From: somebody
...
<--= NEWLINE character here
the body of the message
...
Note that the other "From:" has ":" and there is no blank line
before!!!!
Note that there are more formats (like "^A^A^A^AFrom ") we
are talking about the most popular MBOX, but it still "From_"
while talking about.
