Re: procmail blues: half-shod solution...

On Wed, 1 Jan 2003, dman(_at_)panix(_dot_)com enslaved 16 hundred monkeys to
type:

I know your question has since been answered; but I want to stress
that you should erect what I call a test harness (thanks, Rik Kabel!),
or Sean calls a sandbox, to test these hypotheses. You can test
and answer for yourself in shorter time than sending to the list,
on many of these kinds of questions! I use my harness many times
daily. It delivers input to nowhere (/dev/null), shows my log
to the screen, and is generally extremely useful for countless
dry runs. Sean has a write-up on how to do this -- follow the
link in his .sig.

Yeah i just turned on verbose logging, and send myself mail from different
accounts... How is your "sandbox" actually setup?

That, too, has been answered now, but for a non-procmail solution,
have you tried "man newmail"?

Nope, I wrote my own script which works, but it's yucky :(

Thanks,

Poff
