Don advised Jeff,
| I think you need an "h" flag and maybe an "i" flag on the recipe above.
Just `h' and not `i.' The action does read the head, so if for some reason it
didn't read the entire head, Jeff should have a chance to find out. The write
errors are caused, as Don said, by procmail's feeding the entire message to a
command string that reads only the head.
