Thus spake Brock Rozen (brozen(_at_)torah(_dot_)org) [26/08/03 15:12]:
I'm using procmail as my local mailer, and when a user hits a quota limit
now it returns a "550 5.0.0 <xxx(_at_)xxx(_dot_)com>... Can't create output"
message.
The procmail man page mentions that it should be returning a "Quota
exceeded while writing "x"" message, although I haven't ever seen this
happen on our systems (and I've seen the former messages happen a lot).
Any ideas?
I'm seeing the same thing here -- FreeBSD 4-STABLE, latest procmail from the
ports (3.22_2), and procmail configured as the LDA. I haven't been able to
figure out why, just that it shouldn't be happening.
I took a closer look and it actually /appears/ that procmail /may/ be
responding with the correct 'Quota exceeded while writing...' message, but
sendmail for some reason isn't interpreting that message properly.
Also looking for ideas and hints....
