Not all badly-addressed mail is intentionally mis-addressed.

That may be true, but I bet the rate of legitimate mail sent ot spmatraps is well under the 1 in a thousand.

In fact, I've NEVER (in about 8 years now) received a real email at abba(_at_)southgaylord(_dot_)com(_dot_) Of course, I did finally kill off that address this year because I haven't figured out a way to do a good spamtrap on postfix yet.
