filtering attachments does not always work

2004-04-15 20:24:16
I have been trying to use this
------------------------------------------------------
#:0 B:
#*
^Content.*(file)?name=.*\.(ade|adp|bas|bat|chm|cmd|com|cpl|crt|exe|hlp|hta|inf|ins|isp|js|jse|lnk|mdb|mde|msc|msi|msp|mst|ocx|pcd|pif|reg|scr|sct|shs|shb|vb|vbe|vbs|wsc|wsf|wsh|zip)
#.viruses/
------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------
or this one
------------------------------------------------------
:0
* ! ^Content-Type: text/plain
{
       :0B
       * ^(Content-(Type|Disposition):.*|[     ]*(file)?)name=("[^"]*|[^
]*)\.(ade|adp|bas|bat|chm|cmd|com|cpl|crt|exe|hlp|hta|inf|ins|isp|js|jse|lnk|mdb|mde|msc|msi|msp|mst|ocx|pcd|pif|reg|scr|sct|shs|shb|vb|vbe|vbs|wsc|wsf|wsh|zip)
.viruses/
}
------------------------------------------------------

to try and filter certian file types. I notice that the first one does not
work on everything. If the email Content-Type is plain text it will work
mostly but if the email Content-Type is html then it does not always work,
and sometimes if there is a CC recipient then procmail seems to get
stupid.
I am trying out the second one right now but will need a few days of spam
to get any results. Does anyone have something that will work better than
what I have been using? Is there something better?

Thanks,
Avery
