Thanks for the additional tips.I'll have another look.
I've tried and am still attempting to get this whitelist implemented.
I had placed the provided recipe at the end of my .procmailrc, seems it was
to late, my freinds ended up in the spam list, I then tried placing it as
#2 on the list, there must be an error in the way I copied/paste, here's
the error messages:
Assigning "LASTFOLDER=WHITELIST=/home/jerry/.mutt.aliases"
Assigning
"LASTFOLDER=^From:.*/[A-Za-z0-9_(_dot_)+-]+(_at_)[A-Za-z0-9_(_dot_)+-]+"
Assigning "MAILDIR=/home/jerry/.maildir"
Assigning "WHITE=/home/jerry/IN-friends"
Error while writing to "WHITELIST=/home/jerry/.mutt.aliases"
Error while writing to
"^From:.*/[A-Za-z0-9_(_dot_)+-]+(_at_)[A-Za-z0-9_(_dot_)+-]+"
procmail: Opening "WHITELIST=/home/jerry/.mutt.aliases
procmail: Opening
"^From:.*/[A-Za-z0-9_(_dot_)+-]+(_at_)[A-Za-z0-9_(_dot_)+-]+"
procmail: Skipped "$WHITE"
procmail: Skipped "* ? grep -iw "$MATCH" $WHITELIST"
^From:.*/[A-Za-z0-9_(_dot_)+-]+(_at_)[A-Za-z0-9_(_dot_)+-]+
The above is the result of mailstat log
Here's the recipe as I've got it now:
WHITELIST=$HOME/.mutt.aliases
WHITE=$HOME/IN-friends
:0
^From:.*\/[A-Za-z0-9_(_dot_)+-]+(_at_)[A-Za-z0-9_(_dot_)+-]+
* ? grep -iw "$MATCH" $WHITELIST
$WHITE
