Did you ever consider the VERBOSE=on/off parameter? Have you read any
of the list or the procmail-quick-start:

You can probably solve your own problem just by looking at your on log
output with the proper settings.
I saw my error after looking at my procmailrc file for about 45mins, I
neglected to put a trailing / after my variable setting for KDE, Alsa, and
XMMS.
ALSA=$HOME/Maildir/.ALSA/
^ this was missing
