David W. Tamkin:
Ruud advised Leslie,
But you need to let ORGMAIL be a real file (or maildir-folder), for
example /var/spool/mail/USERNAME.
But that has to be compiled in, because the sanity test on $ORGMAIL is
done before reading /etc/procmailrc.
To circumvent that sanity-check is the whole purpose, as I understand
it.
So let ORGMAIL be a real file when procmail starts, and change it to a
symlinked file in the rc.
Or will procmail then complain at delivery?
(I use a non-standard-procmail that delivers to symlinked
maildir-folders without complaints.)
Setting ORGMAIL in /etc/procmailrc comes too late.
That can be good.
