SPF misconfiguration thwarts procmail bug report

2007-08-22 02:26:00
Let's examine what happens when one tries to submit a procmail bug to
the address in the documents, bug(_at_)procmail(_dot_)org(_dot_)

1. It says my SPF is bad. Well they have misconfigured their system so
all people who use SPF will get rejected!! Looks like the mail pros of
the past that were in charge are passed away.

2. Then the masking they do in "<bug(_at_)procmail(_dot_)org>... User unknown"
makes it look like procmail is "out of business".

3. Procmail perhaps is out of business,

$ whois procmail.org|grep Expir
Expiration Date:12-Nov-2007 05:00:00 UTC
Oh no, time is running out?!

Somebody please forward my bug report. Thanks.

On the formail man page at -l, please use the below instead:

       -l folder
Generate a log summary in the same style as
            procmail:

            From neurdsbeurd(_at_)nurdlike(_dot_)net Wed Aug 22 12:30:35 2007
             Subject: The Nordsbeurg Project
              Folder: clodsmeyer <TABS> 2198

This includes the entire "From " line, the Subject: header
field, the folder (merely a field to be printed, not a
file to be opened), and the size of the message in bytes.
The mailstat command can be used to summarize logs in
            this format.
