I guess the real question is why are you using FROM_DAEMON?
I asked the same thing--that was my original question. It was stated here
that sometimes servers will send the original message back as as attachment,
or as part of the body, in which case X-Loop headers may be missed, so these
are included as a fail safe. If you search for mail forwarding procmail
recipes, you will see that they always include them. That's why I was
thinking about writing a recipe targeting specifically google bounce
messages so I could get rid of those conditions.
Unfortunately I start to panic when I see RE's that big (kinda like
fractions in the sixth grade), so I don't know what part of it is catching.
it's a large RE, but it's not an especially complicated one.
