hey, whatever works. SPF is one part policy announcement mechanism, one
part designated sender scheme. we can just add a mechanism to indicate
that mail from a domain should be examined for domainkeys in the
headers.
means more bandwidth is wasted, of course, since you have to download
the message, but yahoo isn't one to care about bandwidth: they will
accept the entire message before return user unknown.
what about to put domainkeys in a new parameter to the MAIL FROM
command ? this way the whole message will not need to be downloaded
and it's possible to implement it in a backwards compatibility mode
so it would not break existing implementations.
anyway, does yahoo know the existentence of spf ? if not, any way
to contact them and let them know about spf ?
