That's why I believe that Caller-ID has a good chance of making it;
Microsoft has the will and the drive to make it happen, for reasons both
selfish and altruistic.

Well,  I hope common sense will prevail.

If anything,  my design experience tells me Microsoft (and YAHOO) will force
or "encourage" a "new dominate behavior" for mail transport which will need
a modified SMTP.    Namely, since CID and YDK both requires the transfer of
the message,  there will probably be a big need to split the DATA command
into two commands:

For example:

         HEADER
         354 Start sending header...
         ....
         250 Header received - validated - send body!
         [55x Sorry. Envelope rejection]

         BODY
         354 Start sending mail body
         ....
         250 body received,  Mail accepted for delivery
         [55x Sorry. Mail Content Rejection]

Hopefully, it won't take two billion systems to finally see this - I already
see it now.
