Works ok for single records but need to keep adding dns record to do
additional queries. Second can't read long spf records. A little cleanup
would do the trick.

Nslookup will do the job, but some time ago I designed my own DSN client
program which is much easier to use:
ftp://server2.yellowhead.com/utility/ClientDNS.exe
for the self installable version, and ClientDNS.zip for the zip version.
