I would love a formal way to publish SPF stats for advocacy purposes.
Perhaps in conjunction with the infinitepenguins.net data
Here are my top 10 domains producing 'SPF none' results over the past 3
days. Obviously the lists.debian.org and a small percentage of the
hotmail and yahoo emails are not SPAM but the rest surely are.
111 - vcc-ex1.win.rpi.edu
196 - brainchild-001.brainchild.com
218 - brilliant-savings.com
236 - ebay.com
240 - msn.com
302 - comcast.net
307 - lists.debian.org
336 - in6.prserv.net
370 - yahoo.com
537 - hotmail.com
I suspect Yahoo is reluctant, due to DomainKeys, to publish SPF records
and MS is probably waiting for the 'new' SPF but what is the story with
ebay and comcast? It would be a nice way to collect stats to show how
much SPF could help these guys.
It would be interesting to see a graph of IP address which have been
claiming to be from, for example, ebay. That would be a great tool for
showing the value of SPF for these domain owners.
Any ideas?
