So how will that help the war against spam?
Will spammers be able to fake the domain?
Will alum.mit.edu get black listed?

My college alumni association provides an email forwarding service: any

alum.mit.edu simply has to implement SRS (sender rewriting scheme).

Implementing SRS would achieve nothing.

All that alum.mit.edu needs to do is simply refrain from publishing SPF
records. Then all will continue to work as it did before.
