There's a limit of 10 check_host(), and there are proposals to
limit mechanisms + redirects - ip4 - ip6 to 10.  The latter is
more restrictive.

There's also a statement about "loop detection", but that's IMO
implicitly covered by the explicit limit 10.  You find this in
chapter 7.2 "processing limits".
