That is not appropriate. I don't believe there has been that
many people
posting over the last year and as such public has no way to verify if
somebody is indeed on mail list or not and should be allowed
to participate
in election or not. I do believe that at least one post on one of spf
discussion lists should be a requirement. Please modify the list
accordingly or otherwise mark the emails for which we have no
confirmation on previous postings.

That would change the openness we are striving for into an exclusive subset.  
(Like PHB's smoking
rooms we so despise).

So I disagree.
