The arhives of technical lists should detect the diagrams (containing
common strings of +-|<> characters on 2 subsequent lines or more) and at
least surround them with the right codes to ensure a monospaced display
in any browser.
It should be a basic function of HTML archives. Even a 90% success rate
on the recognition of diagrams would be much better than no attempt.
I apologize if this is becoming off-topic fast. Perhaps someone will one
day write a few lines of code to address this problem and save the world
a lot of frustration.
