The customer may also send mail from "joe(_at_)mydomain(_dot_)tld" and relay

I hope you take this in consideration as well.
Are you saying here that our outbound servers (not collected in
any one particular domain) also require SPF records? If that's
true, when might the FAQ be updated?
What about the HELO parameter?
