RE: If my server does not have an SPF record?

2005-05-04 07:44:00
I am sending mail from domain.com to destination.com. Destination.com
will look up domain.com to see if there is a SPF record. If no reocrd is
found, what does destination.com do? Drop the seesion? Send a NDR or
DSN? Turf the message? Queue the message?

What will a rejection message look like? Specifically what will the
5.X.X code be? Can the remote server admin specify the message that is
sent back?

Thanks!

DJ

I'm not certain I understand the question.

If your domain does not have an SPF record, you should never get a
rejection because of SPF. SPF is purely optional, but does have
benifits if you are concerned about your domain being forged.
