Wayne, probably the RfC editor will have issues with your
"work in progress" I-D references, just for fun you could
offer to add / replace RfC 644.

Now for the period from 821 up to 1123 (1982-1989) it was

it took Internet only about 30 years to start practical
work on the proposed solution to the problem :)
These vintage-1989 crystal balls were really bad. Maybe
we can convince John to at least mention the traditional
meaning of MAIL FROM in 2821bis, otherwise I hope that he
uses a different port number for the "bounces to" club.
