(Here's a response from Junior. Sorry, I think his original message was
actually a support request, but I misidentified it despite having read it
two times. Oh well...)

I respond here since--go figure--your server refuses my email:

Hi Matthew,

Thanks for the response.
- - I do use charter.com. Or do you mean, send as me(_at_)charter(_dot_)com
instead of
me(_at_)bluesong(_dot_)com using charter.com? Again, for business reasons that
is
 not viable.

- - GoDaddy wouldn't be able to help me, since bluesong.com has nothing to
 do with GoDaddy.

But your last point reinforces my issue. You suggest I talk to my host to
resolve it--but what if a host is unresponsive, or if they are bombarded
with requests to change SPF records? You call it "my SPF record", but of
course it is not mine at all since "mine" suggests ownership and control.

And what should the average non-technical person do, someone who has set
up an online presence and wants their email to be
me(_at_)mybusinessname(_dot_)com,
and who has a problematic SPF record?

I don't mean to be argumentative--I just feel like this is another
proposed standard that has good intentions but leaves a lot of confused
 people in the dust.

Thanks again for your insight.
