the sitting council (minus MarkK) has conducted its (presumably) last
meeting, in which it has unanimously appointed William Leibzon
<william(_at_)elan(_dot_)net> as the election officer for the 2007 council
elections.
William has been a member of the sitting council but does not intend to
run for the 2007 council.
