RE: xsl:sort in old MSXML

2003-07-02 10:46:15
Lo Wendell,

I understood "latter" term, but I didn't "former"... Now it's clear.

Where is Mercka? MD? ("merca" stands for drugs in spanish slang, down here).

Claudio.

Claudio,

Heh, lucky me. I said something backwards but you didn't notice. :->

"The former" is an expression we use to refer to "the first [of two]", "the
latter" means "the last [of two]". So if I say "you can do either X or Y,
but the former is preferable" I'm trying to say X is preferable.

I'm aware that sometimes my recklessly idiomatic English (or maybe it's
Merckan, they argue about that) gets me into trouble. I'll try to be
clearer....

Cheers,
Wendell

p.s. Merckan is the language we speak here in Mercka.

Sorry but I didn't get this one (maybe it's further my english knowledge).
What's "the former"?

Oops! I meant "the former", of course. :->

If you mean "descriptive" markup vs. "procedural" markup ... XML can be
used for either, though it's particularly well-suited to the latter.
