So no i didn't hard coded "disable-output-escaping" in <fo:inline
btw "the trick" does something strange. Every now and than when i change other
parts of my xsl file
The "&amp; is being replaced by a regular "&" i think it is dreamweaver's
fault.

Perhaps because you have a "disable-output-escaping" attribute (in XSLT)
where it shouldn't be?
