Thanks all.. I finally passed an XML tag with the date already formatted

Getting system date, is not provided by default, by
XSLT processors. IMHO, an XSLT processor is a
transformation tool, *and not a* system library! 

You need to use XSLT processor extension. Getting
system date, is also possible with EXSLT library..
